FACE works with fellow European networks and institutions to structure the cultural field and create systemic change, joining forces to investigate common areas of interest and deliver activities. FACE has established relationships internationally with grassroots and high-status organisations working in the field of culture. The platform engages in various projects:

  • Cooperation projects: building international partnerships and accompanying formal and informal collaborations between projects holders – from inception to reporting – for cooperations dedicated to programming venues or festivals, supporting mobility and touring, commissioning or co-producing artistic works, providing artist residencies, providing training and education, and building partnerships with other sectors, among other topics.
  • Advocacy campaigns: participating in annual meetings, seminars and fora to support developments in European policy and funding opportunities, and to discuss new approaches to the challenge of sustaining a good ecology for arts and culture.
  • Capacity building programmes: tailor-made workshops and peer-learning sessions to help arts professionals and artistic companies adapt to rapidly changing environments and shifting models.
  • Networking opportunities: organising the various platforms FACE creates, in different parts of the world, for colleagues to exchange knowledge and access new artistic trends and opportunities for professional development.
